The North Face Purple Label is the Japanese line made with nanamica: mountain classics in softer, city-ready cuts, sold almost only in Japan. The Tokyo store BEAMS ordered a special version.

The Reversible Down Jacket is two jackets in one. One side has pronounced quilting, sporty and technical. Turn it inside out and it becomes a smooth, minimal flight jacket with a ribbed collar and cuffs. In Greige or Navy, sizes S to XL, about US$453.

Why it's interesting: Purple Label is hard to get outside Japan, and this one is only at BEAMS. Pre-order now, delivery in early November.
